Chelsea Pines Inn - New York

Over the summer I have plans to drop four days in New York City to spend. True to my hopes, the weather was absolutely perfect this weekend in October. Book a flight was the easy part. Search for a place to stay, it was not. I have a few friends in New York, but like many New Yorkers their places are small and / or shared. I did not want to impose and preferred shares, to be independent, without disturbing people fear the return from forays into the city or coming late into the night.

Recommended BudgetHotels like the Pod, all were booked. I checked out a few locations such as New York, 50 - a Web site, the hotels and rentals for around $ 50 paid per night. Needless to say that the reviews were horrible. I have several lists of the top budget hotels, including this collection of About.com, but they had to book. I checked an apartment rental site with attractive prices, but hesitated when I heard they wanted a deposit of 50% over bifurcated by bank transfer. Yeah right. Do you already use a credit card - This is not 1950th Forone months, I have occasionally read reviews and prices. Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn and other chains run north of $ 300 per night in Manhattan. The nicer hostels were booked solid. Tripadvisor reviews of budget hotels were really amusing to read - if not frightening. When searching for a site for under $ 140 I would prefer to read the Tripadvisor reviews and told horrifying tales of bugs, mold, surly staff, and even beetles crawling over people as they slept. I wish I had marked some of the reviews as they arehilarious. I am far from high maintenance costs, but I need my room free of bugs.

Someone mentioned in Lonely Planet Chelsea Pines Inn to another poster on the search for accommodation. It was the neighborhood I wanted to be in for a very good price, and they had availability. Tired or searching, and I compare it immediately posted.

Chelsea Pines sits on 14th Street between 7th and 8 Avenue. Typical of the area of a small building with five floors, with about fourto five rooms per floor. Give the rooms a unique style and character, each is a former actor from Hollywood's golden years paid. There is a conservatory and terrace for socializing and meeting fellow visitors and breakfast is served every morning until 11 clock. Even if I always travel with earplugs just in case I wind up above a noisy street, the noise woke up the bottom of the 14th Street not to me. It was fairly quiet at night, and central air conditioning also helps. (Above14th Street Photo taken from room.)

Something else makes this place special, however: the variety and diversity in their rooms and rates. The deluxe rooms are modern in the lower floors in granite decorating iPod docks, flat-screen TVs and modern fittings. Standard rooms are located on the middle floors, and the fourth and fifth floors house the smaller economy rooms with a partial bath - (not uncommon in New York City hotels.) My room was not as modern as the updates are, but that is ok was developed byme, because the corresponding rate on average for a place of greater overall quality is excellent. When I return, I can decide for lovers of accommodations, but this time my needs were simple. There are many economy rooms dotting the city, but since they are able, a smaller room, which is also hosted in a well-maintained buildings and hard to find. I appreciate the owner of Jay and the staff for their guests a variety of economic opportunities, the results in a nice mix of guests.

Although there wereA few faces occupying the front desk to be fair, I did not, I chatted with the owner of Jay a few times and met a small group visiting from Scotland. Chelsea Pines is clean, comfortable, and more than big enough for me solo on the road - and I would recommend it as a "second home" for every resident in the city.

They're at 317 West 14th Street in Chelsea, and about 30 steps from the subway. Check out Chelsea Pines Inn. Com rate details and their history. And almost any other house was soLucky its ranking Tripadvisor.

If you visit NYC, they posted when you in this article in New York magazine listing other highly rated budget hotel.

Florida Tourist Attractions

Art Deco Historic District, South Beach, Miami

South Beach is the heart of its Art Deco Historic District, from 18 St. and south along Ocean Dr and Collins Ave - one of the largest area in the U.S. on the National Register of Historic Places. In fact, the District Rejuvenation and rebirth as a major tourist destination arises directly from it is protected as a historical site in 1979.

The National Register designation prevented developers from razing wholeheartedly significantPart of what was in the 1980s, a criminal collection of crumbling eyesores primarily populated by drug-crazy lunatics, Cuba, refugees and elderly residents. It is far from that now, with a vibrant mix of neighbors, including gay men, because only in winter, plus a dash of vintage objectors. Today, hotels and apartments are decidedly colorful pastel-colored facades with architectural details.

Your first stop here was the Art Deco Welcome Center (305-531-3484, 1001 Ocean Dr;10-7 Mon-Sat 30am to 6pm Sun). This provides you with a good sense of this very popular but often misunderstood area. You will receive an informative permanent exhibit in the gallery, a bevy of walks you can see for themselves (including an excellent self-guided audio tour), and a very well equipped gift shop hawking souvenirs from postcards to old-fashioned deco - style jewelry.

Venetian Pool, Miami

As tons of earth and rock were taken for the construction boom in Merrick, sometimes a verylarge limestone quarry formed. Then, a creative thinker, thought, why not turn this eyesore by it to fill with water to an exceptionally beautiful swimming hole? Now the National Register of Historic Places, in 1924 this spring fed pool (305-460-5306; 2701 DeSoto Blvd, adults / children, $ 6.25/3.25 Nov.-March, April-Oct $ 9.50/5.25, depending on the season, but in general, 11 - 5pm), with a capacity of 820,000 gallons offers, coral rock caves, waterfalls, a palm-fringed island, vine-coveredLoggias, and Venetian-style berths. It was designed by Uncle Merrick, the ubiquitous mural artist Denman Fink and is large enough to accommodate a large waterfall, a kiddie area and an area for adults from lap swimming. In fact, during its heyday in the 1920s and was the scene of synchronized swimming Esther Williams and Johnny "Tarzan" Weismüller, both in the historic photos to the pool. Whether you want to swim or not, this pool is a sight.

Mallory Square, Key West

Mallory Squarethe belly of the beast. While just another waterfront park lined with shops on the day in the early evening of the area turned into a crazy sunset soirée - an over-the-top display of the craft peddler, fire eaters, singers, unicyclists, mimes and all sorts of other characters all competing for the tourist dollar. like the people on the mill, and gather around the wildest performers, the event quickly turns into a mob scene. But love, or hate, it is an integral part of Key West culture be so sure to considerit at least once. You can always reassure yourself by actually watching the magnificent sunset.

What Constitutes True Wealth?

What is true wealth? It is defined by a fat bank account and the ability to spend money without fear of consequences? Is driving a fast sports car costs represent at least six figures, you're rich? What is a large house with live-in help to answer all of your needs and desires? While most people the volume of material goods as a measure of success, I argue that only those who have peace and happiness in every area of life, the only ones who are reallyrich.

To be really successful, you have many harmonious experience. For example, Howard Hughes is probably the best known example of a monetarily rich man, who was also one of the poorest people on the planet. Think about it. What had his money for him? Yes, he could buy nice things and the people who take care of her, but he was basically a recluse, a prisoner in his own world. No, he can not as a really rich, because so many elements of his life were invalidof happiness.

Likewise, you can have all the money and power in the world, but you can not really looking forward to your blessings if you are sick all the time. Many wealthy people have all the best medical care that money can buy and still had suffered immensely on a daily basis.

As it stands will be poor in spirit? You can have a lot of possession and seem the perfect life for outsiders, but you have to be really rich if you have a hollow void at the heart of the soul? Behonest, no one can have harmonic wealth, if he/she feels as if something important is still missing.

In addition to spiritual loneliness, a lot of people with money are socially lonely. When you have a lot of cash in the bank, how do you know when acquaintances like you because of you effervescent personality? What if individuals are simply hoping to be a recipient of generosity? Trust must be a big issue with the wealthy, or why would so many well to do couples have to sign Prenuptial agreements?

On the other hand, you have ever had a family, with barely two pennies to rub together, but they seem to have the perfect life? Life is full of friends and family, good health is in abundance, spirituality is an integral part of who they are and they are really missing anything. Who's really rich?

If you really get rich, do not put all your energy into making big bucks. Consider all the other aspects of your life. Focus onEnrichment of each element of your life. Then you can say you've discovered the true meaning of the harmonic richness.

Speed Kills Review - Lead Guitar Lessons From Michael Batio, the Fastest Guitar Player on the Planet

The first DVD begins with Speed Kills Michael Angelo Batio playing a lightning-quick, but interesting electric guitar solo. After a few minutes ago I saw started to laugh out loud. You know, the kind of involuntary confused laughter that breaks when a magician does something truly unexpected and unbelievable.

I've never played a guitar that fast. It looked almost fake. Perhaps what is more surprising, however, that Michael can actually teach this seemingly impossibleTechniques to us mortals guitarists.

If you have always dreamed of playing lead electric guitar solos for rock, hard rock, metal, blues, pop, country or jazz improvisation, please pay close attention to this review.

The purpose

According to the author, Michael Angelo Batio Speed Kills has been established to accelerate the ultimate guitar lesson on picking. This course concentrates on speed techniques to the challenge even the most advanced players. Eventhen one can begin the work and intermediate guitarists expect that with this incredible profits.

About the author, Michael Angelo Batio

Mr. Batio was described as the fastest guitarist in the world. After having his video guitar lessons, I think absolutely. And as if that were not amazing enough, he actually taught himself to build a custom combination of a right-handed and play left-handed electric guitar, both at the exact same time. At this sightalone was worth the price for the first DVD.

Guitar One Magazine chose Michael Angelo Batio as the Number 1 Shredder of all time.

Batio has created the ultimate face-melting instructional DVD, "says Guitar World Magazine.

One of the elements that Batio such a master guitarist is his knowledge of music theory and classical music. He even has a DVD titled 25 Jazz Progressions.

Who will benefit most from SpeedKills?

This guitar lesson course is ideal for intermediate guitarists who want to improve your lead guitar skills and techniques with emphasis on speed. Following a thorough knowledge of music theory is not necessary, but with a basic understanding of chords, extent and types of procedures would be useful.

Would be a good preparation for this course, the 6-piece Metal Method Complete Guitar Lesson Video DVD by Doug Marks.

Is This Guitar SpeedCourse for acoustic or electric guitar player?

Electric guitar.

The lesson format

Each lesson begins with a brief talk by the author explains the upcoming exercises. This is achieved by a fast then slow close-ups, and demonstration followed a clever play along with animated tab tone.

The contents of the Speed kills Lead Guitar Lessons DVDs

- A protective case for the DVDs Organizer

- Each DVD contains a printable PDFFile with chapter lists and tabs for each lesson.

DVD # 1 Speed Kills, the present advanced techniques DVD Picking a No Boundaries performance tuning, tremolo picking, the prevention of hand injuries, alternate picking, hammer-ons and pull-off, arpeggio madness, diminished licks, plus a discussion and solo performance by the Double-Guitar.

DVD # 2 Speed Kills 2, this DVD includes more advanced techniques and development of the main warm-up capabilities. 28Group lesson with 69 exercises.

DVD # 3 Speed Kills 3, this DVD contains the most sophisticated techniques and advanced Shredding.

DVD # 4 Speed Lives, Michael taught step by step, the song, No Boundaries. In the last section of this DVD that you play the lead role accompanied in his rhythm.

The Negatives

It was annoying, print support materials for each lesson, although it only took about 15 minutes for allfour DVDs. I would prefer to receive them all already printed and bound. However, this would significantly increase the cost for the course so I guess that it's actually a reasonable compromise.

The course would it help to date information about the video title. It can be confusing if you want to return to a particular lesson.

The positive

Advanced Guitar Instruction received from a real guitar virtuoso is a rare opportunity. Michael speaks andplays with confidence and humor. He is articulate on the earth, and easy to follow, something for someone to play his extremely unusual ability.

The clarity of video production is very good. The close-ups and angles of the shots are very clear and understandable. I am glad that this course not just video snippets is built, but also provides richer learning experience that can only come from wall to wall video.

This course is not only incredibly cheapbecause the prices are lower than most programs of this advanced level, but because you are only buying a DVD is no longer at a time without obligation to buy too.

Support

The metal-method company offers e-mail, telephone, mail, and a student forum to answer questions. They also offer a fairly exhaustive and frequently asked questions section on its website for quick reference.

The price analysis

Metal Method Speed Kills Video Guitar Lessonscontains the equivalent of about 6 months to more than one years worth of guitar lessons when you made them space, as if you were taking weekly lessons from a local guitar teacher.

A local teacher will usually charge anywhere from $ 20 to $ 50 per hour. Your minimum cost at only $ 20 per lesson for 6 months would be at least $ 520.

The election runs on:

The Complete Speed Kills DVD program for $ 64.80 to $ 79.80 USD, depending on how many DVDs you buyat a time, or a local teacher at $ 520.

Warranty

You can return the DVDs for any reason within 60 days of receipt for a 100% money-back refund.

The Bottom Line

Let me see. I must recommend the inexpensive, modern technology, speed video guitar lesson series, by Michael Angelo Batio, the fastest guitarist in the world who happened to be taught is to be incredibly entertaining DVD? Then you can bet I am. In a heartbeat. Speed Killsreally a must-E continued guitar lesson for anyone in serious pursuit of the lead guitar excellence.
